13-16

oliver found his self lost and so he went into the house keepers room, but when he got there he notice that the picture theat he once saw was there was not there anymore. the reason they took the picture wass because they thought that it was worry oliver. one day as oliver was on his way to the bookstall he saw nacy and she was like the hooker of the book, and she tells everyone on the street that oliver is her runaway brother who joined a band of thieves so everybody can ignore oliver’s protests.

I think that he is trying to do the rite thing and people are trying to stop him for doing what he want to do and if that was me i would try until i get what i want and do what i need to do so i can get better,

Intellectual Curiosity

He's trying to show you that you can go thru any atage of life just dont give up. Like Oliver dont stop keep on going. The author's point is Life is important, dont give up, and at the end it will pay off. Why do you think Oliver had to go thru what he did? Well I htink everyone goes thru the stage of troubles, so its up too us if we can overcome what is brought to us.

Emotional Triggers

I was really sad for poor little Oliver, but then again proud of him for standing up, and being brave. He never quited he always worked. I really connected to him when his mother died, but its just he didnt know his mother, so I waould say it hurt me more then it would hurt him. Oliver, was adopted also so I know how that feeling is being raised in someone else home. I really thought about the pain, and suffering he went thru, it wasnt easy, but he stuck to hit, and thats why he was able to survive in the path he was choosen.

Literal Sense

Oliver twist was born in a work house in 1830. His mother that nobody, knew was found dead in the street, just after Oliver was born. Oliver twist was brought up in an orphanage, then was taking to a work house with adults when he was 9 years old. H e was pick on, bullied, and taking advantage of while he was there. He was pick on, because he was a little boy who had no one there for him. He had to maintain things that where giving. Like when he had food, it wasn't much.

Writers Craft

This book is written in plenty of ways. Charles Dickens way of art seems more, because he shows you, just what you need to see when you have a question, or just an opinion. He answers the questions that everyone needs to know. There are no what going to happened next if you read the chapters very clearly. Some of the questions i had was, Is he going to run away, and never look back? Is he ever going to over come this stage of loss? What if Oliver dies, then what good is that? Charles Dickens answer all of the questions, you would like to ask him as if he was right in front of you. The different point of views gives you a better understanding of where each character is coming from, and gives you a better understanding of the book. What I really enjoyed was at the end of the book, when Oliver was adopted, which really brought up plenty of memories, from my past. If I was to change the book, I would make sure that Oliver reliazes tht he went thru a lot, but to never give up, keep on going to you finish your goal. Mainly make sure he wouldnt have to go thru some much truma.

Writers craft

I think that the book is clever. it gives you a point of view from different people. Its funny because the book is old, but its as if its happening in present times. Kids are still leaving on the streets, moving from home to home, street to street, and from being taken advantage of person after person. This book at first was a little hard to comprehend because of the oldness of the context, but once i got into it i started to understand the text of the book.
I find charles dickens book to be very productive. it help you to see things from diferent views.

Although Fagin claims to be in partnership with his peoples, protecting them in exchange for their loyalty, in the end, he trades on them so that his own self is better for him. He watches the people around him with special care and translates his knowledge about them into power. Then Nancy meets Mr. Brownlow and Rose on London Bridge and leads them to a spot. Noah hears Nancy begging them to make that none of her peoples get into trouble, because of her choice to help Oliver. They agree, and Nancy tells them when they will most likely see Monks visiting the public house. They hope to catch Monks and force the truth about Oliver from him.

Writer's Craft

Writer's Craft
So far I have noticed that this book is written in multiple views. Charles Dickens' style seems more iffy because he shows you the IF you're looking for, he answers the questions that everyone is asking. There are no what going to happened next IF you read the chapters continuously all of those questions will be answered. Some questions I had were like Is he going to run away? Is he ever going to have a good day? Is this book ever going to be done!? What IF Oliver dies? Charles Dickens' gets ride of those crazy ifs and goes right to the point no ifs an's or buts about it.
The different point of views gives you a better understanding of where each character is coming from, and gives you a better understanding of the book. What I would do different is nothing because I like the way it gives you an all around understanding of the book, from different point of views . I really didn't understand the language at first, that's probably the only thing I would change is the language.

He is saw by a boy named Jack Dawkins, who dresses and acts like a grown man. Oliver learns that Jack’s nickname is the Artful Dodger. He assumes from the jack appearance that his way of life is immoral. I dont think the boy couldnt get any more braver, and stronger to go thru all this without any food.

Oliver twist a very tremendous book. The little boy continues to go thru all struggles, but he mages to ontain them. Hes a brave young teen who is willing to surivive on the face of this alone.

There he ran into more trouble. he was taught how to pick pocket, that lead to him almost going to jail. it also lead to him seeing a picture of his late mom

who would let a twelve year old boy out of there sight, and walk all the way to london, seventy miles, with no supervision. In those time and days they didnt care. what a shame? I could only imagine the things that is going through oliver head.

oliver twist

Oliver book is a very heart breaking book, that can blow your mind. Not only this one but many more, its just devastating to hear plenty of people have to go thru this much drama. Then think of your own personal experience. Also how he had to survive by himself, me, i had family members there for me and he didn't.

oliver twist

i think the book is ok it is very depressing because he is growing up by himself with no one to help him when he needed but so far it is alright.

chap 5-9
Oliver decides to walk the seventy miles to London. Hunger, cold, and fatigue weaken him over the next seven days. In one village, signs warn that beggars will be thrown in jail. Finally, Oliver limps into a small town just outside London and collapses in a doorway. He is approached by a boy about his own age named Jack Dawkins, who dresses and acts like a grown man. Jack purchases a large lunch for Oliver and informs him that he knows a “genelman” in London who will let Oliver stay in his home for free. He plans to ingratiate himself with the gentleman in London and then end all association with Jack.

1-4

Literal Sense:
A young boy is born into a world where he will soon guess that there is no better place. He was born without a mother and didn't know his real father. He traveled from house to house being treated very poorly not being fed enough or at all for that matter. It seems like he'll never know the feeing of being with a real family.

Emotional Trigger:
In the beginning it reminds me of a book called "It" where a young boy similar to Oliver is tortured and poorly fed with no real love of a family. It hurts me to the point where all the abandoned and/or parentless children have no hope for the future. It just makes me want to adopt as much kids to help them have a brighter future in their lives.

Intellectual Curiosity:
How can someone stand looking at a starving, tortured child and deny that they don't need to be treated with more love and respect than any other human being?

Chpt:1-4

Oliver is a young boy who dont have a father to be there for him. He is raised in a single family, because his mother and father didnt get married. Oliver was an orphan who lived in many work houses.. His mother kisses his forehead and dies, and the nurse announces that Oliver’s mother was found lying in the streets. Oliver has nobody, and now he has to make it own his own a a young boy.The workhouse board considers sending Oliver out to sea as a cabin boy, expecting that he would die. Then Mr. Sowerberry, takes Oliver on as his apprentice.

Emotional Triggers

He's not the only one who lost there mother, and me i never even knew my father, so i was brought up by my step mom. But him a brave young man to be brought up by himself, no one to teach him right from wrong. So i can really relate to the pain and suffering he must of went thru having no one there. I elt really sorry for him, but i no many was sorry for me too. But everyone do go thru promblems, and i all we can do is learn from them, and move on and dont look back.

so far he was born in a very bad lifeand he grew by himself and he went from house to house without his father

chapters 1-4

Literal Sense
Well a young boy by the name of Oliver is introduced. Oliver was born into a sad world, for when he was born his mother passed away. Since she wasn't married and back then the wellbeing of a child depends on social status, he was taken from workhouse to workhouse. In each one, he was tortured a little bit more. The children were treated like prisoners and were starved. Oliver never knew the comfort of a home or the warmth of a family.

Emotional Triggers
When I read this it really hurt me and reminded me of my experiences when visiting Mexico. There was a family with about four little kids and they were sooo poor. The kids ran around in the same dirty worn down clothes every day. It really got to me because I tried to help these kids out by buying them a bag of chips or anything really.

Intellectual Curiosity
How can someone see a hungry child and deny them food? that's so mean.

Writer's Craft
The writer wanted us to sympathize with Oliver and to really get a sense of just how important social statuses were back in the day.

chapter 1-4

Literal Sense

Oliver was born into a bad life. He grew up with out his mother and didnt know his father. Oliver moved from home to home and didnt have any where to stay. so he was on his on then after he went to the work house and he was sent away on his 9th birthday and had to come back with food.

ET

Its crazy how a person let alone a child go through things that bad. To not have a family is so bad and no one cared about him and how he felt. I think since he has no father or mother or any family to run to he will be lonly for a long time.

Chapter 1-4

Literal Sense- Oliver was born into a world unfit for him. his mother died soon after placing a kiss on his forehead. His place in this world was determined on the status of his family, but nobody knew where to place him because day before his mother was found on the street with no wedding ring, meaning she was an unwed mother. Oliver was the sent to a juvenile home. This place was so awful to him. They starved the kids that was sent there. The money that was for the kids they pocketed for their on selfish reasoning. On Oliver ninth birthday he was then sent away to the workhouse. Oliver was then sent by one of the boys from the house to get more food. as punishment he was locked away in a dark room. The work house then wanted to send poor Oliver off, but he was taken as a apprentice to the parish undertaker to Mr.Sowerberry.

Emotional Triggers & Intellectual Curiosity- How could someone be so mean to a poor child? Why would you slowly starve someone? I feel so bad for the kids at the workhouse. They have to suffer though so much. I feel that someone should have tooken better care of these porr kids. It doesn't matter if your rich or poor. They deserve the same treatment as any other rich kid. They was giving money for the kids, that money should have been spent on the kids. When reading this story I think about now. Now the same thing is happening. Kids are starving and not many people are trying to help.

Chapter 1-4

Literal Sense
Oliver was born into a life of turmoil. His mother died when he was born and never got to met his father because his mother and father never got married. Oliver was moved from one workhouse to another. He never had a stable home, with no model adults he could look up to no one. One could only feel for a boy such has Oliver, a boy in this world alone, not knowing if you were going to die tomorrow will damage a young boys life forever. I know a lot of people today whose parents are not married but Oliver was living in the day in age where if you're parents wasn't married you were in trouble. You had to raise from that situation and be the best that you could be. Oliver was thrown into a situation he was not prepared for.
Emotional Triggers
How could one person go through so many things before they're even born? Not having a mother or father but waiting yoku do have people who wouldn't cared if you lived or died. Being an outcast in your own home can do so much to a young boy. Since his mother was unwed and is dead does that mean Oliver will never find his real Father?
