Literal Sense:
A young boy is born into a world where he will soon guess that there is no better place. He was born without a mother and didn't know his real father. He traveled from house to house being treated very poorly not being fed enough or at all for that matter. It seems like he'll never know the feeing of being with a real family.
Emotional Trigger:
In the beginning it reminds me of a book called "It" where a young boy similar to Oliver is tortured and poorly fed with no real love of a family. It hurts me to the point where all the abandoned and/or parentless children have no hope for the future. It just makes me want to adopt as much kids to help them have a brighter future in their lives.
Intellectual Curiosity:
How can someone stand looking at a starving, tortured child and deny that they don't need to be treated with more love and respect than any other human being?
